ELECTION 2012: Are American's enthusiastic enough?

I remember 2008, like it was yesterday, it was day that many of us thought would never come in our lifetime, a candidate who offered real change, a real break from the decades of War mongering, Poverty, Capitalism and a concentration on Education, Health care, Foreign relations, Global Peace, Climate change, Nature...I really could go on...

We had a President who commanded 'TRUST' and we gave it to him, the World looked to him and the facts are, he could have made change happen because he had the 'TRUST' and the backing of the many American's with support around the World...

His opposition at home was a few Rednecks without a clue, led by none other than Sarah Palin, with the support of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and FOX and they had no credibility with the majority and rightly so...Basically, no opposition...

President Obama, to be frank, let everyone down, the World is in a poorer place, America is certainly suffering and the President we ALL wanted and trusted to succeed has missed a golden opportunity, standing by while the people who trusted him suffer and you only have to look at Occupy to understand where we are...

President Obama promised everyone 'Change' and yet it's like George Bush NEVER left office, yet the feeling is worse because at least with Bush we knew where we stood, we didn't like standing there, but we knew what to expect...

Obama to me felt like that magical dream date who asked me out, yet left me waiting outside the restaurant with all the negative thoughts that damage someones self esteem permanently...
Dream candidate...Left us waiting and never showed up!

But when you look at the alternative, the GOP you just shudder, have you ever come across a more laughable bunch of people in your life, we have witnessed Racism, Sexual Harassment, Illegal workers, Religion and many other allegations and all from a group of people that would not only stop the change we hoped for, but set the US back 50 years with policies that in today's World would be nothing short of disaster and the World would panic!

Yet American's are expected to make the most important decision, in my opinion in the History of politics and decide the future...

I'd hate to be in your shoes, I for one hope you make the right choice, the problem is, I haven't a clue who the right choice is, would abstaining from voting be the choice of many? If so, is it the right one?
